I had seen those photos capturing the trails made by the moving stars, and so I wanted to try it myself. I think it turned out reasonably well. This exposure was about 20 minutes, if I remember correctly. type='text'>Bikes on the Square</title><summary type='text'>Here are a couple of bikes chained to a tree on the square in downtown Bloomington. Lots of people who live close to town use bikes instead of cars. Parking downtown is not a lot of fun, and many are happy to avoid  high gas prices and to help preserve our environment. It was a pretty day and I caught this bird JUST as it was taking off. I thought it was a neat shot. Robins are so common here. One of my favorite types of bird, the cardinal, is somewhat rare in the area despite being the Indiana state bird.
